The calm water shimmered with repeating threads of gold today. An inversion layer is casting a pastel, warm glow over this part of the world. The air is bad, the visibility is murky, but the colors are lovely.

Today I swam with Angie and Colleen (happy birthday to Colleen!). I forgot the camera again today, so lovely photos are courtesy of Colleen again.
I had big plans for what I was going to write about today, but I’ve kept it all too late and now I’m tired. Instead of forcing myself I’m going to sign off with Colleen’s lovely photos and go climb into bed to read my very wonderful book ( The Love Songs of W.E.B. Du Bois by Honorée Fanonne Jeffers. It’s very wonderful and very long so I need all the time with it I can get).
