Daylight Savings

For most people, the switch to daylight savings time is a brutal change. At my 7:15 exercise class this morning there was much grumbling about being wrenched from sleep at an ungodly hour. For me, springing forward is a chance to operate on a clock more in tune with the rest of the world. On Sunday, I woke up at 5 and was thrilled that I didn’t have to berate myself for waking up at 4 again. Last night, I stayed up until nearly 10 without a problem.

The best part of the time change, though, is that for a few weeks, it will be extra easy to catch the rosy gold light of dawn during our morning swims.
